As president of Call Sign Victor, Brandon and his team of veterans and volunteers have cultivated a refuge for veterans and first responders to gather, fellowship, worship, and heal in a unified and healthy community.

Outside of his duties at Christian Warriors Retreat, Brandon is an independently licensed minster and works in the oilfield business, overseeing outside sales.

Dan Pooley

Dan Pooley

Vice President

Dan Pooley is the Board’s Spiritual Director and past Vice President. He is responsible for ensuring that our teams are equipped to help military veterans, first responders, and their families heal from trauma and “unseen wounds” through one-on-one and group ministry during our retreats and ongoing discipleship after our retreats. While growing up in South Texas, one of Dan’s goals was to leave home and join the Army in a combat arms occupation, as inspired by his father, a Green Beret and combat veteran of the Vietnam War. Dan served in the U.S. Army as a squad and section leader in a calvary scout platoon in the 4th Infantry Division and the 2nd Armor Division in the 1990s, then in the Texas Army National Guard’s 141st Infantry in 2001 during Operation Enduring Freedom. Another of Dan’s goals from early on was to serve others through ministry. While in college, God worked in Dan’s life to turn his heart towards ministry. Dan accepted Christ after visiting the 1st Baptist Church in Kingsville, Texas. Dan graduated with a B.A. from Texas A&M University—Kingsville and a master’s degree in education from the University of Houston—Victoria. He has participated on multiple non-profit boards, is an independent licensed Christian Minister, and is an administrator at a secondary public school in Victoria, TX.
Travis Anderson

Travis Anderson

Treasurer

Travis is a jack of all trades and master of none.  He is a retired UH60 Blackhawk pilot who currently flies EMS helicopters in Arkansas where he resides with his family full time now.  He has a full repertoire of skills that he has amassed in his time around the world.  He has built houses, radios, solar systems, and legos.  He is an instructor pilot who loves teaching anything.  In addition to teaching military pilots advanced combat maneuvering tactics and landing at high altitude above 12,000 feet, he taught Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, and has assisted his wife in graduating two of three of his children from a well versed homeschool curriculum.  The most impactful experience in his christian walk was both a trip to Israel and Greece.  He says that it is critical for christians to put real world depth and dirt to the scriptures.  Being on the hill where Jesus spoke to the people on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee (known as the sermon on the mount starting in Matthew 5) cannot be replaced by any other teaching.  Similarly, sitting where John received what we know as the book of Revelation on the Mediterranean island of Patmos, and where Paul was imprisoned and started the first christian church in Greece adds a degree of depth to the Bible that cannot be fathomed.
Shara Crow

Shara Crow

Secretary

Shara Crow loves any activity outdoors. She grew up in Wyoming, and spent a lot of her early married life in Alaska. She married Chance Crow in 2006 and together they have three sons whom she homeschools.

Her husband Chance served in the Army for 15 years, 12 in active duty and three as a reserve. Shara worked at the Ft. Wainwright Army Education Center in the administrations and at the Personal Fitness Center (Gym) as the Assistant Operations Director when she had their first son and made the decision to become a stay-at-home mother.

She earned her Master’s degree in Sport and Fitness Management in 2013 and has been a personal trainer since 2010. Today, she and Chance own and operate a fitness and nutrition business.

She met Jesus when she was a young child and love the thought of being His. She serves as the secretary for Call Sign Victor and leads worship with Chance at each Tactical Withdrawal.
